Ok, so the stomach flu (or whatever it was) ended up being a long horrible ordeal but it seems to have 'reset' my digestive system a bit. Some of the ill-feeling that had remained after the gluten challenge has not returned now that i am back on solid food. Hooray.
Separate issue:
I wonder how many other people this happens to but i sometimes have really strange/awful dreams that are health related. Before i knew about the gluten intolerance it was more often things like dreams where all my teeth fell out, or dreams where i had cancer, or dreams that i fell and became paralyzed - i assume these are more common than my more recent nightmares.
For example, last night i dreamt i did surgery on myself - i opened up my abdomen through a small slit and pulled my insides out so i could work on them. In with my organs was a full head of curly leaf lettuce and a bunch of cooked spinach (looking very much like the spinach i had with dinner last night). Apparently they had gotten in there through my 'leaky gut' - the lettuce had just been a small piece but had grown into a full head in there and the spinach had piled up piece by piece. As i pulled them out i swear i could feel it. When i had removed all the greenery i looked at my insides and thought how empty i felt now. I put my insides back inside my abdomen and it closed up on its own. Very very weird.
